چکیده

For this feedback loop to be stable, negative feedback is used. This means that the output voltage (VOUT) is compared to the reference voltage (VR) and the difference (VR – VOUT) is amplified by the error amplifier. The output of the error amplifier is called the error voltage. The error voltage polarity is inverted with respect to VOUT and is therefore -180° out of phase with VOUT. The goal of the feedback loop is to minimize the error between VOUT and VR. The error is small when the overall feedback loop gain is high. Ideally, a feedback loop would have infinite gain for all frequencies, thus providing perfect regulation regardless of the demands of the load.
